The bullet train works with the train riding on a magnetic rail. It uses the principle that opposite pole attract and like poles repel. The rail is a series of powerful electro magnets that work in conjunction with the electro magnates in the train. A computer keeps alternating the polarity so the the magnates attract then repel to keep the train moving along the rail.

MAGLEV-Magnetic Levitation.Same magnetic charge for the train and the track keeps the train floating thereby really reducing if not eliminating friction when running. Also, the bullet train’s design incorporates aerodynamic principles greatly reducing air friction.
